August 2026 Monthly Amazon Top Sellers

August's leaderboard changed more than the market underneath it did. Filterbuy enters at #1 with $1.70 billion, and eleven of the top fifteen seats turned over from July. But among the 23 sellers with comparable tracking across both periods, the median month-over-month move was +0.7%.

Filterbuy is followed by OLANLY ($1.36B), AnkerDirect ($1.29B), Carlyle ($1.15B), and Detroit Axle ($1.00B). PremiumpartsWhosale ($996M) rounds out the top six. Only four sellers hold their July positions: AnkerDirect, Carlyle, Vtopmart Direct, and WolfBox Direct.

Much of the reshuffle reflects expanded catalog coverage rather than a change in demand. Five sellers in the top 50 — Filterbuy, Carlyle, PremiumpartsWhosale, Vitamatic, and ANRABESS — had their estimates revised upward as more of their listings came into view. Twenty-seven of the top 50 had no comparable prior period, so their figures are reported without a month-over-month change.

Where comparable data exists, movement was modest. Sixteen of the 23 measurable sellers moved less than 5% in either direction. Only four cleared double digits: Lifewit Home US (+23.7%), Sports Research (+18.3%), Nutrafol (+14.6%), and Vaspur & All (+11.8%). Nutrafol's recovery is now three months old, moving from −28% in June to −3% in July.

Anua posted the steepest comparable decline at −14.4%, a clean reversal of its +18.8% in July that pushed the Korean skincare brand out of the top fifteen. Detroit Axle's +9.4% is the only meaningful positive gain among the eleven newcomers; UGREEN was flat and Reli. declined 2.7%.

Chinese and Hong Kong sellers now hold eight of the top fifteen seats, double their four in July. They account for $5.15B of top-fifteen revenue against $6.59B from U.S. sellers — the narrowest margin this series has recorded. The headline country split has not moved: U.S. sellers represent 50.7% of tracked third-party storefronts and Chinese sellers 42.8%, unchanged for a fourth consecutive month.

Four of the six category leaders carried over from July changed hands. Filterbuy takes Tools & Home Improvement, OLANLY leads Home & Kitchen, Carlyle takes Health & Household, and Detroit Axle leads Automotive. AnkerDirect held Cell Phones & Accessories, and Anua held Beauty & Personal Care despite its decline.

Among brand-direct listings, home-medical and personal-care consumables dominate. Seven of the ten highest-grossing products fall into that group. medicube's Jelly Cream with Collagen & Niacinamide led at roughly $599,400 in 30-day revenue on about 30,000 units. Soho Living holds five of the top ten through its Inspire and Kolbs lines; OCuSOFT holds two more. Average selling price across the ten was $20.07 on 215,000 units — a reminder that product-level velocity and seller-level scale measure different things.

Seller Spotlight: Filterbuy

Filterbuy manufactures and sells HVAC and furnace air filters direct from Alabama. Its catalog is built on standard-size pleated filters sold in multipacks across hundreds of dimension and MERV combinations, which produces 3,620 indexed listings — unusual breadth for a single-product category.

An earlier capture this month placed the seller at $179.8 million before its full catalog came into view. The close relationship between expanded coverage and the revised figure suggests most of the increase reflects improved tracking rather than a sudden change in sales. Filterbuy's 12,271 reviews over twelve months are among the highest of any tracked D2C seller and were always consistent with a business larger than the earlier estimate implied.

The takeaway for sellers watching the board: re-baseline your competitive set on the current rankings, but don't read eleven new names as eleven competitors that outgrew you. Most of them were already this size.
